About Us
Established in 1962 and sponsored by Christ Church in Short Hills, Christ Church Nursery School is a neighborhood nursery school that welcomes children of parishioners and local community families.

Our mission is to help children embrace learning with curiosity, enthusiasm and confidence through intentional hands-on learning experiences that support the development of the whole child. As an Episcopal school, we aim to promote justice, peace, and respect for the dignity of every person while welcoming and celebrating religious and cultural diversity.

We believe children learn best through exploration and hands-on experiences, offering diverse activities that support children's physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and communicative development.
Curriculum
CCNS utilizes a curriculum framework based on the NJ Teaching and Learning Standards, creating high-quality environments using the principles of ECERS and ITERS and offering preschoolers an introduction to the Heggerty phonemic system. Our goal is to support and help children thrive in all areas of their development.
